Hello Everyone, my name is Lou Lynch and I am a licesed real estate agent here in Ulster County New York. For those of you who don't know where Ulster County is, just imagine the mid-point between NYC and Albany. I have written several blogs in other locations focused primarily on the technology associated real estate. These blogs were for other real estate agents using technology to better run their businesses. This blog will target the consumer.
Let me start by telling you a little about me.
I began my web career at a dot com start up in lower Manhattan (World Trade Center to be exact). Starting as a web developer, I worked my way up to upper/middle management by becoming a web product manager of a job board called CareerEngine.com. If you have a good memory, you can remember that the end of the dot com boom came about just before the Trade Center was hit by the terrorists. Lucky for me, being a middle manager, I was let go 2 months prior to the attack. How did I get involved in real estate you ask? Right after the attack, I used the money from my severance package to start a web company that provided web application work to real estate agents. Before long I realized I can make more money utilizing my knowledge technology than I could selling it. I signed on with a real estate company and worked exclusively for them. Now I am the technology director for the company and looking to propel it into the top position in our market.
Now, a little about Ulster County
Like I stated earlier, Ulster County is located mid way between Albany and New York City and is considered by many to be one of the most beautiful places on earth. Because of its beauty and jaw dropping landscapes, Ulster County New York is fast becoming the new Hamptons and the local real estate market is going through some serious changes as a result. Ulster County's proximity to New York City makes it a premier choice for second homes. Ulster County has a steadily growing economy supporting the work force and other related industry making living here easy and affordable.
Bringing technology and real estate together
The application of technology and technology tools gives every customer I deal with the competitive edge needed to survive today's fast moving real estate market. Buyers will find homes faster, make offers quicker, have more choices and ultimately make better more qualified decisions when purchasing property. Sellers will reach larger markets, share more information and have access to several types of advertising media that will result in fewer days on the market, faster closings and the best possible selling price.
